My biggest inspiration is Nature. I find a theme in all my artistic work of man's relationship to nature, imperfect though it may be, and asking questions about what that relationship is, what it might be, what I long for it to be.
Nature Mystery: Cloudhead. This is part of my Nature Mystery series. Music / Sound design by Ben English.
How to talk is an exploration of creativity, nature, and mortality. What does it mean to be creative? How to we express ourselves? How do we live in the face of death?
This is a Nature Mystery loop. It's a project I'm working on to understand my emotional relationship to nature. Is it animistic? Is it a nostalgia for eden? Is it a call from my true self to atone with wild nature? See more of these here: https://naturemystery.com
I'm very proud of Girl in the Grass. It was a labor of love and a real exploration into my own psyche - the things that drive me, the curiosities, the pain. Loved making this film, and loved the team that came together to make it happen. I shot and edited this film as well.
Love this piece. Could almost call it an experimental documentary. It was a collaboration, really, with the artist David Sleeth and his efforts to create - or recreate - home, out on the sands of the beach at Pescadero. Really lovely pastoral, even transcendental moments here. I shot and edited this film as well.
